for the price of 24$ USD we can have a personalized domain name (without the .forumotion). I am posting this to see if anyone would be willing to donate money to help make this happen.

I have checked on a few domain names for us and the following are available;

and many others.

The benefit of this is that we would not have to transfer anything and we would simply be changing the domain name to a more professional one.

Is this a one time payment? If so, I will gladly donate the money to make this happen. However, I might to send the money to someone else and get them to pay for it, as I don't have a credit card or a paypal account (or anything of the sort).

.com is not for us,.org would suit us better.

Also www.alliance-of-freelancers.com is too long,it should be short.

I would say this should be put to vote.I would like more 'creative' names like ESF's domain name is quite good.

I can't pay via PayPal or that phone thing that I have never heard of before. But if you find that you ahve ran out of options give me a PM with a bank account number of someone who does have PayPal and I will pay for it. It's about time I helped out for AoF.

Well even if we don't manage to get $24,a smaller figure of $20 is also enough.

$24= 2000 credits.

$20=1600 credits

we need 1600 credits to buy a domain name,but if i am not wrong you can get cheaper credits if you buy them in 'bundles' of 500,1000 or 2000 or 3000 or 5000.

One can buy the exact amount of 1600,but it would be more costlier,i think,though not sure as the figures slightly change and are confusing.

Though i am not sure what one do with remaining 400 credits if we buy 2000 because there is not much to buy in forumotion that can be called good and useful other than domain name.

Maybe it is better to have target of $20-$24.

personally i still think ur mad. Check www.designaweb.us for the full package at less price. (don't flame this with post ideas i know your arguments). If you want to go for this the way your suggesting, can't you use something memorable like aofgaming.org, using '-' can ruin an url unless it is really needed.
